We live in a nation and culture focused on polarizing our lives. Democrat or Republican? Male or female? Gay or straight? Pro-life or pro-choice? War monger or pacifist? Do any of these either-or labels really fit any of us?
In a nation and culture also focused on sex and all the emotional baggage attached to that topic, we are also boxed in to polarized choices. Yet, more and more people are searching to understand what it means to be female or male or ??? More people are trying to understand themselves and those they know or love who identify as gay or straight or bisexual or trans or gender fluid. It?fs becoming obvious that the world has way more shades of grey that true black or white.
The Pacific Northwest - Reconciling Ministries Network (PNW-RMN) has chosen to take on these issues in their annual Gathering, February 21, 2010 in a conference called ?gDon?ft Box Me In: Diversity In Gender and Sexuality?h. If you have been curious about these issues, here is a place to ask your questions about gender, sexuality and how the wide diversity of gender and sexuality are encompassed within a Christian community. Bring yourselves, your loved ones and your questions and join us.
